In their first recording, The Brian Estlin Confluence achieves a fresh take on electric jazz. Estlin’s compositions feature angular and unexpected elements, deeply rooted in the music of masters like the Brecker Brothers, Weather Report, Chick Corea and many others. The 6-piece group includes Estlin (saxophones), Nick Phillips (trumpet), Richard Anderson (guitar), Frances Martin (keyboards), Hugh Njemanze (bass) and Mike Charlasch (drums).
